Entry level to 1-2 years of HR experience Overview This position is responsible for the administration of the Human Resources Department within the company.
The duties include maintaining human-resource-related records, ensuring the policies and regulations are being followed, and administration/coordinating of human resource-related programs Essential Duties:
Responsible to maintain and update employee personnel records.
Reviews and verifies payroll hours on time cards Administers new hire and termination packets for all employees.
Facilitates new employee orientation.
Responsible for managing employee attendance records, including PTO accruals and requests.
Prepares and updates employee performance evaluations.
Maintains employee warnings, performance coaching/counseling forms.
Assists with employee complaints Ensures Company's safety compliances with all states' regulations and OSHA requirements.
Files and mails out the documentation of the legal activities that relate to Human Resources Coordinates enrollment/termination of employees to 401(k) program for Company Coordinates Company's healthcare benefits including enrollments for new employees, corresponding with the insurance company, and coordinating with the insurance broker.
Assists in handling all insurance claims as necessary Ensures the Company's Safety Policies and makes sure the policy is complying with governmental requirements.
Plans and coordinates company meetings and/or training events as needed.
Non-Essential Duties:
Creates and maintains HR reports (new hires, terminations, EEO-1, rosters, labor reports) Prepares HR-related correspondence on behalf of EVP/CFO Seeks constant improvement or more efficient and less expensive ways and means in department work processes.
Researches and develops resources that create a timely and efficient workflow.
Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by executive management.
Follows up to complete any assigned work.
Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
Reports all irregular issues and problems to executive management for a solution.
Maintains good communication with executive management, office staff members, and outside contacts.
Complies and maintains confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working area.
Education/
Experience:
College degree preferred, but not required.
Minimum of three to five years related Human Resources experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
English and foreign languages such as Spanish and Japanese might be necessary but not required.
