POSITION
Summary:
VMware Automation Consultant
Sigma's client is looking for a VMware Automation Consultant to support the development of codes or scripts for automation of tasks involving middleware integration with other systems outside of the Vmware Solution Modules; S/He will perform automation improvement tasks identified by all the automated infrastructure reviews performed; Provide direct support for the development of specified customer custom API, scripting and package deployment on VMware technologies; Deliver knowledge transfer to customer staff to increase understanding and knowledge of all VMware technologies including optimal use of VMware functionality, such as the vCAC, DRS, VMotion, DPM and SRM; Leverages best practice knowledge and tools to provide best practices and architectural support as well as use that knowledge to recommend and implement improvements in operational processes; Assists in the development of policies and procedures documentation; Participate in the planning, approval and implementation of approved change management requests; Assist in troubleshooting activities and escalations to the appropriate customer support group; Participate in Root Cause Analysis reviews; Participate and assist in implementation of VMware ESX and vSphereEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
