Drivers are responsible for the transportation and delivery of food and related products on designated routes.
Products are unloaded from a truck utilizing a hand truck or pallet jack to specified areas. Drivers are exposed to outside ambient temperatures and conditions and cold indoor environments.
Drivers may work overtime within DOT regulations, and various shifts that may require driving and delivering during late night and early morning hours.
The job requires extensive lifting and carrying of a variety of weights and handling boxes with various dimensions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/ Responsibilities:
Lifting between 500 and 800 cases on a daily basis sometimes handling those cases multiple times.
The average case weighs approximately 35 pounds.
Driving various sized trucks, tractors and trailers.
Ability to use a hand truck, pallet jack, electric pallet jack, and load bar.
Working in cool and cold environments when needed.
Delivering product to each of the designated stops on an assigned route.
Unloading product safely by following established preferred work methods and delivering to customers in designated spaces.
Checking invoices for complete and accurate delivery. Processing paperwork and damaged merchandise.
Collecting payments.
Monitoring refrigeration system and checking the tractor/trailer on a consistent basis for safety.
Complying with safety rules and job procedures.
Other duties as assigned.

Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License with a "clean" driving record.
Minimum of 1 year delivery experience with a Class A driver's license.

Prefer a stable work history with previous delivery driver experience in a similar industry or work capacity.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Pallet breakdown and hand cart delivery experience.
2 years local food or beverage delivery experience.

Class A driver's license with a clean DMV record.
Minimum of 1 year experience with a Class A driver's license and multi-stop deliveries preferred in the last 5 years.
Passing a DOT physical examination and maintaining appropriate DOT certification.
Basic math skills are preferred.
Use safe lifting and loading techniques.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with customers.
Map reading abilities.
Must be able to read, speak and communicate in English.

Don't Be Fooled

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
